Last Saturday when we went to Stonehenge we became members of English Heritage so that we could get into various historical sites FO FREE! So when THIS Saturday rolled around we picked a couple of places to go on our English heritage map.
First stop, Old Sarum.
I guess they must have super sucked at building this Castle because it was totally ruined not too long after it was built. Because of the lack of audio guides I didn't learn very much. But there were some good views and it was really green and the ruins were still cool. OH and there was a moat! (now it's just a grassy ravine) I think moats are pretty dope. I would like to have one around my house. I would put a whale in it. here are some pictures:
pretty cool panoramic shot taken with a cell phone.

life of crime.
this picture gave us a good LOL. i realize it's probably the most unflattering picture ever to be released on the internet. but whatever. this is the real me.
After we left Old Sarum, with the help of Snoop Dogg (our GPS voice) we traveled on over to the Old Wardour Castle..
The Castle was destroyed during the Civil War. (English Civil War, not American). Instead of re-building it they just built a new castle not far from the old and the ruins of the first castle have been preserved for our touring enjoyment. Taylor took a buttload of pics.
i'm in this picture.

After THAT we were driving along and there were some pheasants in this field and we pulled over so that April could get a picture of it but it wasn't in an ideal position for a photo op so April yelled, "HEY PHEASANT!! PHEASANT! LOOK!!" and that's how this picture came to be:
